■Starry Night■
The chrysanthemum connection pattern is one of the most difficult to create among Edo Kiriko patterns.
It is created by combining vertical, horizontal and diagonal straight lines to connect continuous patterns.
The name was chosen because the finely cut intersections resemble the chrysanthemum flower, which symbolizes eternal youth and longevity. "Kiku" can also be written as "Kiku" (chrysanthemum), so it also means that joy will continue for a long time.
Even a skilled craftsman can only produce one or two sea squirts a day, which is a very laborious process.
